Return, Refund & Exchange Policy

General Return Policy

At The Cold Life, we want you to be confident in your purchase. Return, refund, and exchange eligibility varies by product and is outlined below. Unless otherwise stated:

  • All return requests must be initiated within the product-specific return window.
  • Returned products must be in acceptable condition, as determined by The Cold Life.
  • Approved refunds are subject to a 10% Refund Processing Fee, which helps offset the costs of payment processing, order fulfillment, customer support, and return administration.
  • Original outbound shipping charges, if applicable, are non-refundable.
  • Shipping protection purchased during checkout is non-refundable, as coverage begins immediately once an order is processed.
  • Customers are responsible for applicable return shipping costs unless otherwise authorized by The Cold Life.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method after the returned product has been received, inspected, and approved in accordance with this policy.

Order Cancellations

Showerhead Orders
Because showerhead orders are processed quickly, cancellation requests cannot be guaranteed once an order has entered fulfillment.

Plunges & Chillers
Orders canceled within 14 days of purchase are subject to a cancellation fee equal to 5% of the total order value. Orders canceled more than 14 days after purchase are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.

Ultimate Showerhead

If you're not completely satisfied with your Ultimate Showerhead, you may request a refund within 60 days of the delivery date. To initiate a return, please contact The Cold Life Customer Support Team within 60 days of delivery. Our team will provide return instructions and review your request in accordance with this policy. Approved refunds are subject to the General Return Policy above.

Please note:

  • Replacement showerhead filters are consumable products and are not eligible for return or refund.
  • Subscription fulfillment charges are non-refundable once a replacement filter order has shipped.
  • Subscription changes, including skips, shipment date adjustments, shipping address updates, payment method changes, or cancellation requests, should be made at least 24 hours before your next scheduled fulfillment. Once a subscription order has begun processing, we cannot guarantee that changes can be made before it ships.

Ultimate Lite & Ultimate Party Plunges

Returns may be requested within 30 days of delivery. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Return shipping charges vary based on destination and carrier rates. Approved refunds are subject to the General Return Policy.

Ultimate Plunge

Returns may be requested within 30 days of delivery. Customers are responsible for all freight shipping costs associated with returning the product. Typical freight costs range from $500-$1,000 within the contiguous United States. Shipping costs may be higher for Alaska, Hawaii, and international locations. If you are unsure whether you intend to keep your plunge, we strongly recommend retaining the original packaging, as replacement packaging can be expensive. Approved refunds are subject to the General Return Policy.

Pro Curve Chillers Returns

Pro Curve Chillers may be returned within 30 days of delivery, provided they meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the General Return Policy. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, at a minimum of $75 for domestic shipments.

Upgrades
Customers wishing to upgrade from a cold-only Pro Curve Chiller to a Cold + Hot model should contact Customer Support to discuss available upgrade options.

Final Sale Items

The following products are considered Final Sale and are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange unless required by applicable law:

  • Replacement parts
  • Accessories
  • Apparel
  • Merchandise
  • Gift cards
  • Refurbished products
  • Demo units

Exchanges

Exchange eligibility varies by product. Please contact Customer Support within the applicable return period to discuss available exchange options. Any approved exchange may be subject to applicable shipping charges and the General Return Policy.

Delivery Inspection (Ultimate Plunge)

A signature is required upon delivery. Please inspect your shipment before signing whenever possible. If damage to the packaging or product is observed, note the damage with the carrier before accepting delivery and notify The Cold Life within 24 hours by emailing help@thecoldlife.com. Failure to report shipping damage promptly may limit our ability to pursue a claim with the carrier and could affect the remedies available to us.

Product Characteristics & Warranty

Our plunges are handcrafted in the United States. Minor cosmetic variations, including slight differences in finish, texture, color, and appearance, are normal characteristics of a handcrafted product and do not affect performance. These characteristics are not considered manufacturing defects and are not eligible for repair, replacement, or compensation.
