It is easier to control the depth of immersion when entering a vertical cold plunge. This allows you to gradually acclimate to the cold by submerging your body slowly, starting with your feet and working up.
Diaphragmatic Breathing
Laying down causes your diaphragm to work against gravity, which can make deep breathing more difficult. Sitting upright facilitates better breathing which is crucial for relaxation and acclimatization.

Where do I even begin. I’ve been looking for a good cold plunge and I knew I found the right one when I came across The Coldlife. I walked their facility and got A+ treatment. I felt like I was part of the family!!! These guys are the real deal. Everything is peak quality. No shortcuts! American made baby!!! No cheap Chinese junk here. It’s very apparent that each aspect of their product has been very well thought out. Super easy to install, solid and rigid inflatable unit. Doesn’t even feel like it’s an inflatable plunge. The chiller works excellent. Once it got cold it stays cold, even in Miami 100+ degree heat. Man I can’t say enough. Love these guys and the Quality AMERICAN made products they’re manufacturing.

WOW is all I can say! The time and effort put into this ice plunge really shows. It’s a fantastic addition to my backyard and incredibly low maintenance—I was able to set it up in just 15 minutes!
