If the FSA/HSA card does NOT have a daily/weekly/monthly spending limit and has sufficient funds, it will be approved and nothing further needs to be done. The order will process. If the FSA/HSA card HAS a limit of any type, the customer may either choose not to use TrueMed and can purchase with an alternative payment method directly with us, or they can continue to utilize TrueMed’s payment services and split the payment method or pay completely using another credit card

Can I split my payment between a credit card, Shop Pay, or Bread Pay, and my FSA/HSA?

You cannot split your payment with other options presented on TheColdLife.com’s checkout process. When you proceed to TrueMed as your form of payment, you will be offered an option to pay in full using your FSA/HSA, or to split your payment using other payment methods through them. In fact, this may be required if you have items in your cart that are not eligible to be covered by your FSA/HSA. I didn’t use my HSA/FSA when I originally purchased, can I get a Letter of Medical Necessity now and submit for reimbursement?

No. TrueMed informs patients directly on their site that if a LMN was not issued pre-purchase, it is get approved afterwards. The date the letter was issued would show that at the time of purchase the equipment may not have been considered medically necessary.

If I get my LMN, but cannot directly use my HSA/FSA to purchase, how long do I have to complete my purchase using an alternative payment method?

From a ColdLife perspective, we are here for you when you are ready to purchase. However, if you still intend to seek reimbursement for your purchase, TrueMed require you to make the purchase before your LMN expires (typically 12 months) so please review your LMN for an expiration date or contact TrueMed for more information.

My LMN has already expired, what do I do now?

You’ll just need to start the process again by using TrueMed as your payment method, completing the health assessment, and obtaining a new LMN.

Why doesn’t TrueMed allow me to pay for all of my cart items using my FSA/HSA?

This could happen for one of two common reasons: ▪ Your FSA/HSA does not have the funds needed or has a spending limit. ▪ Your cart contains items not eligible for purchase on an FSA/HSA.

How do I request reimbursement if I used TrueMed to checkout but was not able to pay using my FSA/HSA at the time of the original purchase?
