How do I drain my plunge?

Drain your plunge quarterly, or more often depending on how much you use it and your water quality.

Turn off and unplug the chiller before you start. Never drain with the chiller running.

Open the drain valve at the base of the plunge and let the water empty completely. Once it is empty, clear any debris from the bottom with a soft brush or sponge.

If the water drains slowly, calcium has likely built up in the drains. Mix equal parts white vinegar and hot water, or use a descaling solution, pour it into the three drains and leave it 15 to 30 minutes. Flush with hot water afterwards. Treat the drains periodically to stop it coming back.

Close the valve before refilling. Never try to move a plunge with water still in it.
